On January 21, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. we left Miami, Florida and headed for the Caribbean. This map shows our route. We made stops in the Bahamas, the Turks, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, arriving in St. Martin, N.A., our southernmost stop, on April 23.
This was not as leisurely an adventure as we had hoped but certainly long enough to get a taste of what each location had to offer. We had planned to spend time on our return trip in many of the places we'd bypassed; but once the decision to return to the States was made, all we really wanted to do was get there. We left St. John, U.S.V.I. on May 23, 2002 and arrived back in Miami on June 11.
